The University of Padova is pleased to announce its Summer School in "SPACE ETHICS"
The Summer School in "SPACE ETHICS" is designed to equip participants with the necessary knowledge and critical thinking skills to address the ethical challenges posed by humanity's increasing presence in space. This programme is ideal for Bachelor's, Masters and PhD students who want to shape the future of space exploration in a thoughtful and responsible manner.
Curriculum Highlights:
• Applied ethics in space exploration
• Space debris mitigation strategies
• Dual-use space technologies: ethical implications• Ethical considerations in space settlement
• Mega constellations of nanosatellites: benefits and concerns
The academic curriculum is complemented by:
• Collaborative research projects and presentations• A two-day excursion to the Astronomical Observatory on the Asiago Plateau, featuring guided celestial observations
• Educational visits to sites of historical significance related to Galileo Galilei• Networking opportunities with peers and experts in the field
